“HE GAVE US TWENTY DOLLARS AND PROMISED TO NEVER PULL US OVER JUST BECAUSE WERE BLACK WHEN WE GROW UP”
Three Alabama youth say them and about 20 other kids were being paid by an officer to take fake pictures of him hugging and spending time with them so he could upload them to his Instagram page.
“HE MADE US DO SOMETHING STRANGE FOR A LITTLE PIECE OF CHANGE” SAID ONE KID WHO SAYS OUTSIDE OF BEING PAID BY A COP HE’D NEVER BEEN SPOKEN TO OR HUGGED BY ONE. “IT FELT WEIRD.”
Officer Thornton was fired with pay, because he was broke after spending $1,200 on the kids to fill his social media page with fake love for African Americans.
